 DIY Natural Hardwood Floor Cleaner Where would DIY natural home cleaning enthusiasts be without our trusted old friend vinegar? I shudder to think. With a damp mop, some vinegar, mild soap and essential oil, you have all you need (along with water, of course) to clean your hardwood floor. While there is some question as to if straight vinegar is safe for hardwood’s finish, using it in this diluted form and with a wrung-out mop is considered by many to be effective but not too abrasive. Like all our DIY household tips, this solution can be made for pennies, there are no harmful chemicals and little waste. Give it a try. Per each bucket: Warm water 1/4 cup white vinegar 1 T. castille soap 10 drops lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint essential oil (or essential oil of choice), optional Combine in a bucket and mop. © 2014 Vegan Street |
