Icy Caribbean Mango Shake

Icy Caribbean Mango Shake

This is a day on the beach in liquid form. Frosty, refreshing and full of vitamin C, this treat will hot the spot when you have a craving for sweets but want to still feel light and vibrant. A great source of electrolytes, especially potassium, coconut water is hydrating and good for muscle exertion recovery. If you want to boost the nutrient density here, add some greens and a tablespoon of flaxseed. (I won't tell if you don't though.)

Icy Caribbean Mango Shake

(Serves Two)

1 cup orange juice or orange juice blend (I used orange-peach-banana juice)
1 cup coconut water
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
2 frozen bananas
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon allspice or nutmeg, optional
3 - 5 ice cubes

Blend and enjoy!
