Southwestern Sunflower Seed Dip
Southwestern Sunflower Seed Dip

Looking for a dip that is high in protein but also full of flavor? Look no further than this dip, best allowed to chill for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator for the flavors to meld. If you love zesty, vibrant spices, you will love this Southwestern Sunflower Seed Dip, which can also be a sandwich spread similar to hummus.

Southwestern Sunflower Seed Dip

1 cup raw and unsalted sunflower seeds, soaked for 30 minutes - overnight and drained
½ cup water
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons cumin powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon cayenne powder
Optional: Fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley

Combine the drained sunflower seeds and other ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and creamy. Add more water by the tablespoon if necessary. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
