Citrus Infused Vinegar

Citrus Infused Vinegar

Do you like to clean with vinegar but not like that scent too much? Try this amazing super-charged, citrus-infused vinegar and you won't go back. It smells and works like a charm and is a perfect, closed-loop way to use your citrus peels, too.

Basically, all you do is gather a bunch of tangerine, orange, grapefruit or lemon peels (or a combination) and put them in a Ball jar. Pour distilled white vinegar over them and let them steep for three weeks to a month: what you will have then is very concentrated, great-smelling vinegar cleaner. When it is ready to be used, remove the peels (I like to pour it all out in a colander over a bowl) and push the softened peels with a wooden spoon to release all the liquid. Store in an large empty bottle, 1/2 cup vinegar to one gallon of water, and you've got a great cleaner! You could also keep some undiluted as just concentrated vinegar.
