Spicy Harissa Hummus
Yes,
I am the first to admit that hummus is overdone and pretty boring at
this point. At the same time, sometimes it’s nice to have an easy,
quick and nutritious lunch. What we need to do with hummus is treat it
like you would a marriage that is stuck in the doldrums: spice it up.
This recipe is for people who like fiery flavor but feel free to modify
to a more spice-averse palate by using a lighter touch with the harissa
and cayenne. By the way, if you don’t feel like making a homemade
harissa, Trader Joe’s sells a perfectly delicious one I recommend.
