Sweet Almond Caramel Dipping Sauce

Sweet Almond Butter Dipping Sauce

With a subtle flavor that evokes caramel, this dipping sauce is rich and creamy, a great accompaniment for a chilly and perfect autumn apple. The sauce is also great to add by the tablespoon to your favorite blended drink.

1/2 cup Medjool dates, pitted, soaked in hot water for 15 minutes or so
1/4 cup almond butter or smooth peanut butter
2 T. maple syrup
2 teaspoons cacao powder (optional)
1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 rounded teaspoon cinnamon
Generous pinch of salt

Combine everything in a food processor and process for two minutes or so, until all the big pieces of dates have dissolved. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Enjoy!
